Yahoo Movies Diversity and Dancing on Ice's Ashley Banjo to co-host Pride of Britain Awards
Diversity star Ashley Banjo has been announced as a host for the Pride of Britain Awards 2021.
The Dancing on Ice judge will be co-hosting the ceremony with Carol Vorderman in a first for the awards, which usually sees the former Countdown star hosting the event alone.
Banjo said: "I feel like I've been a part of Pride of Britain for a few years now but the chance to co-host it next to Carol, who is a complete legend and a pro, is amazing. It's such a special show and a hugely emotional and inspiring night."

Vorderman also shared her excitement to have Banjo alongside her, adding: "Ashley is a wonderful person and I'm delighted that he's joining me because he has been involved for a few years now and it just feels right. The Pride of Britain Awards are an incredibly special evening and show to be a part of."
They will be joined by a number of celebrities on the night, including Ant & Dec, Harry Kane, Joanna Lumley, Pixie Lott, Stephen Fry and Anne Marie.
The Pride of Britain Awards is designed to recognise acts of bravery, selflessness, and fundraising efforts from people across the country. It will take place at Grosvenor House in Park Lane in London and will be broadcast on ITV at 8pm on November 4.

Last year's Pride of Britain Awards were scaled back due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with Vorderman delivering the awards to individual celebrities who then presented them to the winners at home instead of at a glitzy ceremony.
More recently, Banjo fronted the ITV documentary Britain in Black and White to discuss the reaction to his Britain's Got Talent performance last year, inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement.
He previously said on The Graham Norton Show: "We knew full well that people wouldn't like it, but I wasn't quite ready for the amount of people. I'm glad it did [cause controversy], you know. I'm super proud and I would never take it back."
