There’s not long until Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s Disney adventure ‘Moana’ hits cinemas, so here’s a roundup of what to expect from the movie that could challenge for Best Animation Oscar next year.

Who’s behind it?

‘The Little Mermaid’s’ Ron Clements and John Musker co-direct this sea-based adventure for Disney who are on something of a role over the past few years, with mega hits such as ‘Frozen’, ‘Big Hero 6′, and this year’s ‘Zootropolis’ under their belt. Throw in Best Animation Oscars the past four years (including Pixar) and huge praise from critics and long term fans, anything released by The Mouse House is a massively exciting prospect and ‘Moana’ is no different.
