Disney Plus Releases ‘Turning the Tables with Robin Roberts’ Trailer (TV News Roundup)

Disney Plus released the trailer for “Turning the Tables with Robin Roberts,which will premiere on July 28.

Each episode will feature an intimate roundtable conversation between the “Good Morning America” anchor and three female celebrities from all walks of life.

Guests include Debbie Allen, Sofia Carson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jenna Dewan, Sheila E., Melissa Etheridge, Mickey Guyton, Betsey Johnson, Billie Jean King, Tig Notaro, Raven-Symoné and Josie Totah.

LeBron James will serve as an executive producer on the series through his entertainment brand The SpringHill Company. In addition to Roberts and James, executive producers are John R. Green and Reni Calister from Rock’n Robin Productions and Maverick Carter, Jamal Henderson and Philip Byron from The SpringHill Company, with Kadine Anckle as showrunner.

CASTING

Starz announced that Paton Ashbrook, Berto Colon and Alix Lapri have been upped to series regulars for the second season of “Power Book II: Ghost,” while Lahmard Tate will reprise his recurring role from the franchise. Ashbrook will return as Jenny Sullivan; Colon plays Lorenzo Tejada; Lapri is Effie Morales, and Tate, who first appeared in the sixth season of “Power,” is Kamaal Tate, the brother of Rashad Tate. The “Power” universe series was created by showrunner Courtney A. Kemp through her production company End of Episode and through her overall deal with Lionsgate Television. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Mark Canton, Chris Selak, Danielle De Jesus, Shana Stein and Bart Wenrich will serve as executive producers on the new season.

LATE NIGHT

Sarah Paulson, Frank Grillo and Lucy Dacus will appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” while Scarlett Johansson, Questlove and Gucci Mane featuring Pooh Shiesty will be on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” “Conan” will feature Bill Hader, while “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” will have on Andrew Garfield and Lorde. “Late Night With Seth Meyers” will feature Salma Hayek, Jacqueline Novak and Kristina Schiano, while Helen Hunt and Black Pumas will appear on “The Late Late Show With James Corden.
