On a dismal day for Kansas City Chiefs, rookie linebacker Nick Bolton was a bright spot
Titans star running back Derrick Henry got up shaking his head in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Chiefs in Nashville.
Tennessee had the ball on the Chiefs’ 1-yard line when Henry took a handoff. But instead of bulldozing his way into the end zone, Henry was stopped for a 1-yard loss by Chiefs rookie linebacker Nick Bolton.
That’s not something that usually happens to Henry, the NFL’s leading rusher.
But that wasn’t the first time Bolton, the former Mizzou star, had slowed Henry in the game. He also had this big hit on Henry in the first half:

While the Chiefs lost 27-3, Bolton had a big game. He led the Chiefs with 15 tackles, including four that went for a loss. Chiefs fans were certainly impressed.
Here is a sample of what fans were saying:
Bolton is a mans man

Nick Bolton seems to be the only player playing like he gives a damn. #ChiefsKingdom

Only highlight of this game is Nick Bolton. Guy is tough and has played an incredible game.

Nick Bolton played his heart out today in the devastating loss to the Titans:
- 15 total tackles
- 9 solo tackles
- 4 tackles for a loss
- Still leads the #Chiefs in tackles AS A ROOKIE
Keep being a beast @_nickbolton2 !— Red Kingdom (@RedKingdomBF) October 24, 2021
Nick Bolton looks like a player and it was encouraging to see the Chiefs have somebody at linebacker that was capable of tackling people today. All things considered, they did really well against Henry. Too bad everything else was the way it was.
