Desperate Housewives came to an end almost a whole decade ago, but Eva Longoria has expressed her interest in a revival.
In conversation with Radio Times, Longoria, who played Gabrielle Solis on the show, pointed out: "We ended the series with [Gaby] going off to start her own business. So I'd love to pick up and see like how she's grown that business.
"Is she, you know, Kris Jenner? Just fabulous and flying all over the world and managing all of these businesses.
"I would love to think up and and see where her children are and what are they doing, and how did they turn out?" she added.
Although there's no official word on a revival series or spin-off movie, Longoria went on to admit that she'd be "the first to sign up" for either one.
"I think because you know back then, we did eight years of 24 episodes. I mean that's a lot. Now you get a series with six episodes or five episodes," she explained.
"We had so many episodes per year that [creator Marc Cherry] felt like he exhausted every storyline, like I couldn't sleep with one more person on that street."
The subject of revisiting Wisteria Lane was previously addressed by Teri Hatcher too, who played Susan Mayer.
"I love the fans of the show so much, and they don't seem to be done with those characters. I think [a movie] would be great for them," she said back in 2013, just a year after the show aired its final episode.
"If a script ever came across my lap, I would read it, hoping that it would work out, but I don't really see that happening."
And in 2018, Hatcher said that while she "loved" the show's characters, she felt a revival was still unlikely.
Desperate Housewives is available to stream via STAR on Disney+.
