Designer Maisie Wilen Taps Zero10 to Launch Virtual Reality Try-On Service

To celebrate the launch of designer Maisie Wilen's Fall/Winter 2022 collection, the designer has partnered with augmented reality fashion platform ZERO10 to launch the brand's first-ever try-on service in the metaverse.

Utilizing ZERO10's distinctive technology to advance the online shopping process, Maisie Wilen customers will be able to follow integrated QR codes on products to the ZERO10 app in order to try on items through augmented reality. Enabling consumers across all markets to interact with the products in real time, the platform presents all digital items in both basic and tuned states. In basic states, the items will appear in IRL likeness but with tuned states the items will be transformed through AR effects like color fading, mirror reflection and sparkling light.

In a press release announcing the new partnership, Maisie Wilen's Creative Director Maisie Schloss says that "ZERO10's AR capabilities created a perfect platform for exploring our signature prints and textiles, bringing them a new dimension through interactive animation. My FW22 collection was designed completely digitally and thematically played with the tension between reality and fantasy; offering a virtual, surreal version of the clothing is a natural progression for the collection."

The new launch comes shortly after ZERO10's collaborations with Barragan, Tommy Cash, Alexandra Sipa, Edward Crutchley and Florentina Leitner, however marks the first time that pieces have been available in real life at retail and online through the app simultaneously.

The new FW22 collection is now available to shop on Maisie Wilen's website and ZERO10's app.
