Death of Meat Loaf Prompts Fans to Post Tribute Footage Showing Spirited Performances of His Music

Tributes were paid on January 21 after the death the night before was announced of singer and actor Meat Loaf. He was 74.

The performer, born Marvin Lee Aday, died “surrounded by his wife Deborah, daughters Pearl and Amanda and close friends,” according to a post on his Facebook page.

News of his death prompted fans to post footage showing lively performances of some of Meat Loaf’s hits, which are perennial karaoke favorites.

This footage, posted by Craig Trudgill, shows a person tagged by Trudgill as Daniel Philpott, rocking out to Paradise by the Dashboard Light. Philpott posted his own tribute, saying although Meat Loaf wasn’t for everyone, he “absolutely loved him”. Credit: Craig Trudgill via Storyful
