Deadpool & Wolverine had a Hugh Jackman Easter egg you missed
Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy has confirmed that there was a well-hidden easter egg regarding Hugh Jackman in the film.
The MCU film, the third instalment in the Deadpool franchise, follows the titular heroes - played by Ryan Reynolds and Jackman - as they team up to defeat the villainous Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin).
With plenty of cameos from various famous faces, there are plenty of things to unpack from the film, and one eagle-eyed fan on X/Twitter spotted a reference to Jackman’s role in the 2012 musical, Les Misérables.

“Anyone else spot 24601 on the roof of Logan’s mouth on the skull? Crazy attention to detail! Prisoner 24601, aka Jean Valjean, in Les Misérables is played by Hugh Jackman in the 2012 movie,” they wrote.
“And of course Deadpool’s doodled map in Deadpool 2 in 2018 featured our hero 24601 too!"
Levy, who had previously directed Jackman in Real Steel and Reynolds in Free Guy, confirmed the theory by responding to the original post, writing: “We've been wondering who would notice that first!”
Fans responded to the post, with one quipping: “Knowing your attention to detail, you probably took a cast of Hugh Jackman‘s teeth for the jaw! Because you guys know how to get it done.”

One of the film’s most treasured moments was Channing Tatum’s long-awaited debut as Remy LeBeau/Gambit after his proposed standalone film was left in development hell, with the star subsequently addressing his future as the character.
“I sure hope so [to play Gambit again],” he said. “From your mouth to God's ears. Write it into existence, my friend. Please. Of course I've said it. I've been saying I want it [a standalone film] for the last ten years. It's in Bob Iger and Kevin Feige's hands. I pray to God.”
Deadpool & Wolverine is now playing in cinemas.
