Florida Police Looking For Driver Who Jumped Car Over Drawbridge
Police in Daytona Beach, Florida, are hoping the public can help them jump-start a search for the person who jumped their car over a drawbridge early Monday morning.
Video shows the driver speeding through the crossing gate before driving over the bridge as it begins to rise, according to local station WSVN TV.
The car caught a teeny bit of air before landing on the other side and driving away.
The driver hadn’t been taken into custody as of Thursday, but Daytona Beach police officers told reporters they believed they’d identified a subject, who will “likely face charges.”
The video footage went viral as various Twitter users seemed shocked that a common trope from movie car chase scenes somehow occurred in real life.
