Danvas is being featured as the digital display of choice at Christie’s NYC inaugural 3.0 auction event, the global auction house's initiative to bring young emerging artists to an international and digitally savvy market. In their first exhibition, they offer a highly curated auction of 9 new NFTs by celebrated, UTA-backed visual artist, Diana Sinclair. Sinclair will present her first solo exhibition, Phases. "Phases is about embracing the impermanence of the self and human experience," said Sinclair. She went on to share that debuting her first solo show with Christie’s is in itself "a representation of a paradigm shift, not only for art but also for representation in the art world. The opportunity for collaboration with the teams from Danvas, Chainlink, and Christie’s was in itself a huge and positive transition for bringing my vision to life in such a powerful way."
In the contemporary art world, Danvas is partnering with the esteemed Honor Fraser Gallery in Los Angeles who has taken a forward leaning-role in advancing digital artists and their artwork. Danvas displays will be featured in the upcoming exhibition, Future Sensitive, by distinguished filmmaker and body architect, Lucy McRae, which explores how future technologies of design will fundamentally alter entrenched notions of human intimacy, reproduction, spirituality, and wellness. Fraser remarked, "We have truly enjoyed collaborating with Danvas in our recent exhibition. Their displays and frames are beautiful and really help elevate the digital artwork itself. It’s wonderful to have an elegant solution to allow collectors to hang beautiful digital work at home."
Danvas Co-Founder & CEO, Jeanne Anderson said, "We’re delighted that Danvas digital displays are being so quickly embraced by traditional art audiences. Change is underway in the premium art world. When you consider that MoMa is slated to auction off masterpieces to fund its purchases of NFTs, and Christie’s, one of the great auction houses of the world, is launching a web 3.0 platform, you cannot deny the fact that digital art is here to stay. We’re thrilled Danvas displays will play a key role in helping collectors see how truly stunning digital art can be."
Key players in both the web3 art and tech world also acknowledge that a change is inevitable. Kevin Rose, a serial web2 and web3 entrepreneur and key influencer in the space recently spent a dominant share of his latest podcast, episode of PROOF, praising Danvas, expressing his enthusiastic vote of confidence, saying "This is the first frame I've seen that I've been really blown away by" and that its first customers "will probably be folks like MoMA or LACMA or high-end galleries."
Co-founded by Jeanne Anderson, formerly of Saatchi Art, and Hernan Lopez, formerly of Wondery, the new Danvas Series G’s breakthrough display is already accelerating the world’s appreciation of digital artists and their work. For viewings, visit Diana Sinclair’s Phases at Christie's NYC from September 27th - October 5th, or at Honor Fraser Gallery for Lucy McRae’s Future Sensitive in Los Angeles, from October 1st - December 17th.
Danvas is a new, VC-backed startup that brings NFTs and digital art into the real world through a specialized, luxury display, founded by Jeanne Anderson and Hernan Lopez. Danvas’ digital displays will bring digital and NFT art to life in the way its artist envisioned -- a fully dimensional interactive design. By displaying and reinforcing the authenticity of their work, Danvas hopes to empower artists to grow their art practice and gain exposure to a larger audience, and empower collectors to acquire more digital art.
