Daniel Radcliffe will likely not be going to see the new Potter stage play, ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’.

But not because he doesn’t think it will be up to snuff.

He told E! News: “It would be a weird one.

“I could be completely wrong in this, but I feel like if I went to see it that night, there’s going to be a lot of Harry Potter fans there in the audience obviously and would that then become a thing?

“Would it be more about them watching me watch the show or would it take away from the show? I would never want to do anything that would distract or take away from the show.”

“I don’t know,” he added. “I’m busy doing a play here at the moment, but I’m not sure.”

The play had its first preview last night in London’s West End.

With talk of real life owls, but no other spoilers, it sounds like fans have embraced the J.K. Rowling-penned play, which features a new generation of witches and wizards heading for Hogwarts.

Those lucky enough to get tickets appeared to have been thoroughly impressed.
