Daniel Radcliffe Apologized to Castmates for Using Racial Slurs in New Movie ‘Imperium’

Daniel Radcliffe stopped by The Daily Show to promote his new film, Imperium, which is based on the real-life experiences of an FBI agent who went undercover with white supremacists. Playing someone who was pretending to be a white supremacist caused Daniel to have some awkward conversations at the water cooler with his co-workers. The Harry Potter star told Trevor Noah that after shooting scenes in which he used racial slurs, he had to go up to his co-stars and apologize. Daniel said he knew that they knew he didn’t mean what he was saying, but he still felt he had to say “sorry” for saying such horrible things.

There was one thing that Daniel was pleasantly surprised by when shooting the film. He said, “I, obviously, had to shave my head. … I did that on camera, and I was happy to find out I don’t have a strangely shaped or marked head in any way.”

The Daily Show With Trevor Noah airs weeknights at 11 on Comedy Central.
