Dancing with the Stars 2023 spoilers follow.

Dancing with the Stars pro Artem Chigvintsev has confirmed he's missing this week's live show.

Former Strictly pro Artem took to Instagram to share the unfortunate news that he wouldn't be able to dance with celebrity partner Charity Lawson on Tuesday's episode because he has COVID-19.

He then revealed that Charity would still perform as scheduled, with Artem's fellow pro dancer Ezra Sosa stepping in as a temporary partner.

"They're doing an incredible job and working really, really hard, so please show them all the love and support you can," Artem said in a video message. "And don't forget to vote!"

His replacement, Ezra, chimed in under the post to say: "Gonna do my best to make you proud Artem!"

Dancing with the Stars also confirmed the temporary substitution with the first look at Charity and Ezra dancing together during rehearsals.

"duo if you ever seen what! Grateful for @ezra.sosa stepping in and getting the job done!!! Don’t miss tonight and make sure to VOTE for me," Charity wrote in the comments.

Charity and Artem had a decent first week in the competition, earning a solid score of 22 for their cha-cha-cha.

Unlike on Strictly Come Dancing, where the pairs have two weeks to dance before the first elimination, Dancing with the Stars has already cut Veep's Matt Walsh and Koko Iwasaki in its debut episode.

Matt and Koko were sent home last Tuesday after losing the Dance-Off to Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino and her professional partner (and former Strictly star) Gleb Savchenko.

Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays at 8pm ET on ABC and Disney+.
