Grabiner’s U.K. slate includes scripted series like supernatural thriller “The Rig” from Wild Mercury Productions; grime and drill musical “Jungle” from Nothing Lost, and “The Devil’s Hour” from Hartswood Films. It also includes returning brands such as “The Grand Tour” and “All or Nothing”; new projects like recent documentary series “Clarkson’s Farm,” following Jeremy Clarkson’s farming efforts; and upcoming title “Lovestruck High” from Studio Lambert.

The executive’s team includes former Channel 4 commissioning editor Fozia Khan who leads on unscripted programming, with Jonathan Lewsley and Daisy Mount focusing on scripted programming.

Grabiner joined Amazon in 2019. Previously, he was head of development at ITN, where he oversaw a slate of factual series and films including “Michael Palin in North Korea,” “Interview with a Murderer,” “The Queen’s Green Planet” and “Inside the Cockpit.”

Earlier this year, Amazon launched a recruitment drive to fill 1,000 new full-time apprenticeship positions across the U.K. Paid apprenticeships were made available in 25 fields including engineering, broadcast production, creative design, IT, health, safety and the environment. Two new broadcast production assistants were recruited as part of the apprentices scheme and joined the Amazon Prime Video U.K. originals team, working with Grabiner on unscripted and Johnny Lewsley and Lydia Hampson on scripted.

The news of Grabiner’s promotion was first reported by trade publication Broadcast.
