Adorable Video Shows Daisy Ridley Cry As She Watches Herself In The New Star Wars Trailer

To paraphrase Vinnie Jones, it has indeed been emotional.

And Daisy Ridley, the British star of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’, was clearly somewhat overcome when she saw the final trailer for the movie for the first time last night.

Filmed tucked up under a duvet, she bursts into tears while watching it on her iPhone in a video posted online.

Initially just plain excited, by the end, she’s weeping, exclaiming: “Oh my god, it’s amazing!”

“Staying in a little b'n'b with my friend… Set an alarm to watch the trailer,” she wrote.

“My friend filmed my reaction. Totally emotional seeing it for the first time and so so so incredibly awed to be part of this incredible legacy.”

We see more of Ridley’s character Rey in this latest promo from J.J. Abrams’ historic reboot of the 'Star Wars’ franchise.

The 23-year-old from London, virtually unknown until landing the role, plays 'a scavenger on the desert planet Jakku’, but other than that, little else is known about her character,

She wasn’t the only one to be hailing the final trailer, with a host of stars hitting Twitter to voice their approval.

Abrams dropped another of his hand-written notes too:

'Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ is out on December 17.
