Daisy Ridley looks a little worse for wear in the first teaser image from Cleaner.

From Casino Royale director Martin Campbell, the movie is described as a "timely action thriller" set in London, depicting "a group of radical activists who take over an energy company's annual gala, seizing 300 hostages in order to expose the corruption of the hosts.

"Their just cause is hijacked by a zealous extremist within their ranks, who is ready to murder everyone in the building to send his anarchic message to the world."

Enter Ridley's soldier-turned-window-cleaner Joey Locke, who decides to save those trapped inside the skyscraper and smash up the criminals.

Judging by the first-look photo, though, The Strokes fan Joey takes a few knocks as well.

Campbell previously told Deadline: "Cleaner is a nail-biting thriller, unique and original in both its characters and its setting. Much of the film takes place on the side of the Shard — hundreds of feet up in the air — and I want the audience to be up there with Joey in a stomach-churning, vertiginous experience. There isn't a more instinctive and powerful actress than Daisy right now to help us do just that."

A Murder at the End of the World actor Clive Owen co-stars.

Meanwhile, a return to the Star Wars universe is imminent for Ridley, having last played Rey in The Rise of Skywalker five years ago.

Speaking to Variety, the actress reflected: "So much has happened for me [since the Skywalker saga]. I feel like a grown-up now.

"When I first started, I was, like, 20. I was the youngest on set. It took me the first two Star Wars films to feel worthy of being there. Now I'm in the 30s. The whole thing feels quite different. I've been able to work with other filmmakers, and hopefully, I've got better as a performer."
