Kaley Cuoco took her Golden Globes loss on the chin by sharing a good-humoured reaction photo on Instagram.

The Big Bang Theory star was up for two awards for her performance in HBO series The Flight Attendant, including Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy.

She was up against Lily Collins (Emily in Paris), Elle Fanning (The Great) and Jane Levy (Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist), but the prize went to Catherine O’Hara, for her scene-stealing performance as Moira Rose in Schitt’s Creek.

Cuoco later shared a photo of herself sitting on the floor clutching a bottle of champagne and a slice of pizza, surrounded by several cakes, macaroni and cheese, the rest of the pizza, and her heels, which she had removed.

“I would like to thank… never mind!” she joked in the caption.

Fans and other celebrities, including Zosia Mamet and Olivia Munn, posted messages of support in the comments.

It’s unlikely that Cuoco felt too sore about the loss, however, as just two days before the Golden Globes took place she shared a photo of herself meeting O’Hara for the first time.

“Anyone who knows me knows what this moment meant to me,” she wrote in the caption. “I finally met my comedy queen #catherineohara and she’s everything I hoped and dreamed.”

Among the other big winners on the night was The Crown, which swept the ceremony with four awards, including Best Drama TV Series and Best Actor for Josh O’Connor (Prince Charles), and Best Supporting Actress for Gillian Anderson (Margaret Thatcher). Emma Corrin took home Best Actress for her performance as Princess Diana.

Anderson managed to cause confusion on social media after accepting her award in an American accent.
