Love Island star Curtis Pritchard has claimed that Channel 4 edited out the funniest parts of his Stand Up and Deliver set.

The soon-to-be Hollyoaks star appeared on the recently aired Stand Up To Cancer series which saw five celebrities coached to perform a set as stand-up comedians, with Curtis mentored by Loose Women star Judi Love.

The special episodes aired last week and saw Curtis have a rough time of it on stage, following some awkward sex jokes.

But speaking on the latest AJ v Curtis podcast, Curtis suggested that Channel 4 only showed his "worst bits".

Curtis, who shared his belief that he performed "better than what they showed on that night", was backed up by his former Strictly Come Dancing star brother AJ, who watched Curtis' full set on Zoom.

"I was watching [the show] on Thursday night and I know I wasn't the funniest, I know I wasn't the best, but I am telling you I was better than what they showed on that night," Curtis said.

"Or they just showed the worst bits – sorry Channel 4! It was a great show though."

AJ added: "I do feel a bit sorry for you because I felt like the jokes that I accepted and were quite funny were not shown on TV, and the jokes that I a little bit cringed at were shown on TV."

While his comedy performance didn't go down so well, Curtis and his brother AJ will be hoping for better reviews when they make their acting debut on Hollyoaks this spring.

Curtis also recently appeared on Celebs Go Dating: The Mansion.
