Crowd Cheers as Real Madrid Crowned Champions of Europe

Fans cheered as Real Madrid were crowned champions of Europe after defeating Liverpool 1-0 in the Champions League final in Paris.

This footage, filmed by Mehmet El Turco Celebi, shows Madrid’s Marcelo lifting the cup amongst his teammates.

Madrid became European champions for the 14th time, after beating Liverpool in a final that started 35 minutes late due to chaotic scenes outside the stadium.

In a statement the Paris police said people without tickets and people with counterfeit tickets blocked the stadium’s entrance, and prevented many ticketed fans from entering.

“Taking advantage of the situation, a number of people managed to cross the gates protecting the stadium grounds.
