Crews continue to gain control of Colorado Fire burning along Central Coast

Crews appear to be making better headway in controlling a wildfire in Monterey County along the Central Coast that forced hundreds nearby to evacuate. The Colorado Fire, which started Friday evening between Carmel and Big Sur, has burned 700 acres and is 35% contained, according to Cal Fire. In recent days, the fire was reported to have burned over 1,000 acres but crews were able to map the fire with more precision as they gain control of the fire's spread. Cal Fire said one structure, a yurt, and a fire engine were damaged by the fire.
