'Creed' Stars Admit Ronda Rousey Would Destroy Rocky's Protégé

Michael B. Jordan got in the best shape of his life to play Adonis Creed, but even his director and co-star admit he wouldn’t stand a chance against UFC champ Ronda Rousey.

When Yahoo Movies sat down with the cast of the upcoming Rocky sequel/spinoff Creed in Philadelphia, they laughed at the very thought of Jordan taking on Rousey, who’s considered by many to be the world’s best fighter — and who’s set to defend her Bantam Weight Championship this weekend at UFC 193.

“I wouldn’t put him anywhere near her, man,” Ryan Coogler, Jordan’s director in both Creed and Fruitvale Station. “Mike’s an actor. She’s too good of a grappler.”

Even Sylvester Stallone, who played the big screen’s greatest underdog, has his doubts about Jordan facing off against Rousey.

“Having worked with Ronda Rousey [in The Expendables] and seen her take on 190-pound men and turned them into Philadelphia salt pretzels,” Stallone said, “I’d have to say, ‘Mike, here’s what you have to do: Tap her on the shoulder, hit her, and run!’”

Creed hits theaters on Nov. 25.
