COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update

QUÉBEC CITY, Oct. 18, 2021 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:

  • 410 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 420,129;

  • 403,572 people have recovered;

  • 5 new deaths, for a total of 11,449 deaths;

  • 303 hospitalizations, which remains stable compared to the previous day;

  • 77 people in intensive care, for an increase of 1 compared to the previous day;

  • 22,105 samples conducted on October 16.


  • 5,186 doses administered are added, that is 5,043 doses in the last 24 hours and 143 doses before October 17, for a total of 13,101,548 doses administered in Québec. Outside Québec, a total of 207,777 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 13,309,325 doses received by Quebecers.
