Valenzuela City opened a COVID-19 hub on Wednesday, October 27, ahead of a nationwide vaccination rollout for children aged between 12 and 17 in the Philippines set to begin on November 3, the Department of Health (DOH) announced.
This footage released by the the Valenzuela City Health Office shows teenagers and adults receiving counseling, screening, and vaccination services. Parents were encouraged to register with their children, the office wrote in a caption.
The Philippines’ 26 percent vaccination rate is the lowest among Southeast Asian countries, according to the Inquirer.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advised travelers to be fully vaccinated before visiting the Philippines, which remained categorized as a “Level 3: High” COVID-19 threat.
