Country music queen Carrie Underwood coming to Rupp. Here’s when tickets go on sale

Country music superstar Carrie Underwood is returning to Rupp Arena, her first trip back to the Bluegrass since 2010.

She announced Monday on social media that her Denim and Rhinestones Tour will come to Lexington on Oct. 20. She will be joined on the tour by Jimmie Allen.

Tickets for the concert go on sale through Ticketmaster.com at 10 a.m. Friday. A limited number of VIP packages also will be available, including Meet & Greet Experiences, through carrieunderwoodofficial.com.

Underwood teased the tour on Sunday night’s episode of “American Idol.” Underwood was crowned the winner of season four in 2005.

Since then, she’s won eight Grammys, 16 AMC Awards, including for three Entertainer of the Year, and 23 CMT Music Awards with hits such as “Before He Cheats.”

Underwood will release a new album, “Denim & Rhinestones,” on June 10. Her 43-city tour kicks off on Oct. 15 in Greenville, S.C. She is in residency in Las Vegas through May 21 at Resorts World Theatre.

Allen, who was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2022, won CMA and ACM Awards for New Artist of the Year and New Male Artist of the Year, respectively, in 2021. He will release his third album, “Tulip Drive,” on June 24.

Underwood played Rupp Arena in 2008 with Keith Urban and headlined in 2010.
