Corrections and clarifications

• A 2008 essay by Rebecca Solnit in the LA Times was headlined “Men who explain things”, not, as we stated, “Men Explain Things to Me”, which is the title of her 2014 book (Debate fallout: What is mansplaining? 27 July, p10).

• Although fans of the TV sitcom Miranda may like the idea, “suchfun” is not a word; its inclusion in last Monday’s Codeword was an error (Journal, p8).
