Conversations With Friends viewers all have the same complaint about the series
Conversations With Friends was always going to be a bit of an event. The BBC adaptation of the Sally Rooney novel of the same name follows in the footsteps of the smash hit Normal People, and stars big names Jemima Kirke, Joe Alwyn, Sasha Lane and Alison Oliver. So, like I say, a big deal. However, despite this fans have one major complaint about the long-awaited series.
The series follows 21-year-old Frances (Oliver) whose spoken word poetry act with former lover and best friend Bobbi (Lane) is discovered by high profile journalist Melissa (Kirke) who brings them into her world. However, once in her orbit it's Melissa's husband Nick (Alwyn) with whom Frances begins to experience real and surprising intimacy.
After the success of Normal People fans have been eagerly awaiting the new Sally Rooney adaptation ever since it was announced, so for some, it hasn't quite lived up to expectations thanks to the one issue.
While for some viewers the awkward flirtations between Frances and Nick were what made the whole thing so endearing, others couldn't cope with it: the awkwardness was just too awkward...

I finished conversations with friends and I didn’t hate it but it’s not as good as the book and they definitely had a more awkward interpretation but that’s fine

Sorry, but we're cringing just thinking about that concentration of awkwardness. Are we still going to watch it through multiple times? Most likely, yes.
