Yahoo Movies The Conjuring's Vera Farmiga signs up to new horror movie role
Vera Farmiga is known for her performances in a number of films including The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and The Conjuring franchise.
Bad Bloom is Farmiga's latest project that will see her return to the horror genre as she is set to star and produce the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
It will be Bryce McGurie's feature film director debut - confirming the news on his Twitter page, McGurie wrote: "Thrilled to be making this movie w[ith] Vera and the whole team."

This won't be the first time that Farmiga and McGuire have worked together as they previously collaborated when developing the surrealist comedy series Tabloid Dreams for Bron Studios.
Bad Bloom is described as a horror fairytale that takes a look at the life of a family living in isolation on a remote island. The family are staying there to keep an unknown creature at bay. The nightmare starts when one of the children finds out that the monster they were afraid of is different to what they imagined.
The project's production schedule suggests that Bad Bloom will start filming in the second half of 2021. Other names attached to project include Jon Rubinstein and Galt Niederhoffer who will produce the film under the Authentic Management banner - while Renn Hawkey will produce the film for Ruminant Films.

Farminga's career earned her an Oscar nomination for Up in the Air and she is well-known in the horror genre for her role as Lorraine Warren in The Conjuring series. She's also played the role of Norma Bates in the TV series Bates Motel.
There is currently no set release date for Bad Bloom.
