Communications firm Longacre Square hires from Brunswick for Dallas office

NEW YORK, Dec 6 (Reuters) - Communications and special situations advisory firm Longacre Square Partners, which represents investment managers and public companies, said it hired a senior executive from Brunswick Group to start its Dallas office.

Rebecca Kral joins Longacre Square as a partner and will focus on expanding the firm's corporate governance advisory and transactions practices. She worked at Brunswick for seven years after time at proxy solicitor D.F. King and public relations firm Edelman.

At Brunswick, Kral represented Canadian National in its bid for Kansas City Southern, Harley-Davidson in its defense against Impala Asset Management, and Arconic in its engagement with Elliott Management.

Longacre Square was founded earlier this year by Gregory Marose and Dan Zacchei.

According to public disclosures, the firm represents hedge funds including Sachem Head Capital Management and Saba Capital Management, as well as companies such as GameStop and Revlon. It was recently ranked the No. 1 communications firm by Bloomberg LP in the first half of 2022 based on the total number of shareholder activism campaigns it handled.
