Comics Reveal Captain America Is Secret Hydra Operative, Is Ike Perlmutter Looking To Hurt Marvel Studios?

The latest ‘Captain America’ comic book series has made one of the most controversial decisions in the medium’s history, as they’ve revealed that Steve Rogers is and always has been an undercover agent for Hydra.

The first issue of ‘Captain America: Steve Rogers’ was released this week, and it’s already proving to be hugely divisive. Because while it returns to the 1940s and we get to see Steve Rogers as a youngster once again, it turns one of Marvel’s most iconic superheroes into a villain.

Fans have been quick to register their disdain with the decision, with many noting that it’s completely against the character’s back-story and the reason why Joe Simon and Jack Kirby created him in the first place.

But there might actually be more sinister reasons for the huge change.

Ever since the Marvel Cinematic Universe took Hollywood by storm there have been rumours that the relationship between the movie studio and Marvel Comics was rather rocky.

These were exacerbated when Marvel Entertainment CEO Isaac Perlmutter ceased overseeing the development of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as it was alleged that Kevin Feige was frustrated working with him.

After the recent success of ‘Captain America: Civil War’ the Marvel Cinematic Universe has never been more popular, which has led to online speculation that this reveal was only done to hurt both Feige and the Marvel movie division.

If that’s true then forget Iron Man and Captain America’s recent tussle, we could have an even bigger and more damaging Marvel civil war to contend with.
