This year hasn’t exactly been a barrel of laughs so far, which means that many of us will be in need of a good chuckle. Luckily, London’s comedy clubs are open again, and they’re all more than willing to provide some spirit-lifting stand-up.

For the first couple of weeks at least, live gigs will remain a mask-wearing, socially distanced affair. If the Government does lift all restrictions on social contact from July 19, as planned, then that will pave the way for full-capacity shows once again. Keep an eye on official updates and check in with your chosen venue closer to the time for more information.

Here, we’ve rounded up some of the best places in the city to catch a comedy gig this month, with a taster list of the comedians set to take to the stage over the coming weeks.
