Clare Crawley Reveals She Still Has the Dress She Wore During Her Breakup with Juan Pablo

During this period of social distancing, we’re doing a little spring cleaning to pass the time. And apparently so is the upcoming Bachelorette, Clare Crawley.

Over the weekend, the 39-year-old revealed via her Instagram Story (which is no longer available) that while organizing her closet, she found a dress that holds some serious significance from her time on Juan Pablo Galavis’s season of The Bachelor.

“Cleaning out closets today… look familiar?!” Crawley wrote alongside photos of the iconic blue dress. “Fun fact: the entire zipper is shredded and unusable because I ripped this dress off as soon as I got in the car.”

As it turns out, Crawley wore the dress when Juan Pablo broke up with her. Yup, we’re talking about that iconic moment when she told him her true feelings and that she “lost respect” for him. According to the hairstylist, there were a few reasons for keeping the gown all this time.

“HOWEVER! 2 reasons I kept it: 1) Cary [Fetman] hand-beaded this and it meant the world to me,” she stated. “2) It was the most empowering moment of my life.”

ICYMI: ABC announced that Crawley will lead season 16 of The Bachelorette last month. However, production for the season has been put on hold due to the need for social distancing and according to Chris Harrison, there’s a good chance that ABC will change the lineup of cast members in light of the delay.

In the meantime, maybe Crawley will uncover more Bachelor items in her closet.
