Yahoo Movies City of Folsom’s sign ordinance, suspended during COVID-19, resumes enforcement next year
The signs of the times must be safe and aesthetic in Folsom.
The city will resume enforcement of its sign ordinance beginning Jan. 2. The ordinance aims to regulate permanent and temporary signs’ safety standards and ensure they “maintain the aesthetic appearance of the city,” according to a news release.
Folsom relaxed the ordinance in March 2020 as one of a series of emergency measures to support local businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic, the release said.

The city exited its COVID-19 state of emergency Aug. 23 and since has phased out directives established under executive orders signed during the pandemic, according to the release.
The city encourages people to look at the Folsom Municipal Code to see if their sign is in accordance with reestablished regulation.
