In case you don't follow her on Twitter or Instagram, Chrissy Teigen was at Wednesday's inauguration, which saw Joe Biden sworn in as the 46th President of the United States, and Kamala Harris take the oath to become Madame Vice-President.

In true Chrissy style, she shared a running commentary of her adventures, from quarantining in a hotel room (and taking several COVID tests - all negative ofc) to applauding her husband, John Legend, for his epic inauguration night performance of Nina Simone's Feeling Good.

But in among all the fun and games, Chrissy had a bit of an accident. She lost a tooth. And she didn't even lose it in any great, exciting way; she lost it while eating a Fruit Roll-Up. Oh dear, oh dear.

Filming herself in her hotel room, in a video later shared on Twitter, Chrissy can holds out the tooth in the palm of her hand and says: ""I just lost my tooth... in a Fruit Roll-Up."

Yeah, no big deal at all but also king of a very big deal. At least the coronavirus pandemic means we're all wearing masks right now, just in case of any unfortunately prominent gaps the incident left behind...

One concerned follower replied to Chrissy's video asking, "Real tooth or a cap or veneer? If it’s the real one I’d be worried," to which Chrissy responded: "Cap :( but i loved him like he was a real tooth."

It's not clear exactly where in the model and author's mouth her cap came off, but an in-depth, official investigation carried out by me has concluded that all subsequent Instagram photos feature her with mouth firmly closed, so there's no way of knowing. It doesn't look to be near the front, though, from the video she shared.

Hopefully, the lost tooth escapade didn't leave Chrissy in too much pain, and that there'll be a dentist on-hand to fix the problem now she's returned from Washington DC to her California home.

Well, she can't say the inauguration wasn't memorable...
