Watch: Chris Pratt wanted to wrestle Dave Bautista
Chris Pratt once challenged his Guardians of the Galaxy co-star and former WWE Champion Dave Bautista to a wrestling match.
In an interview to promote his new Amazon blockbuster The Tomorrow War, Pratt confessed he was using sleeping pills when he contacted Bautista with the bizarre request.
The 42-year-old told James Corden on The Late Late Show that he has stopped taking sleep aids because he would frequently lose control of his actions and send strange messages to people.
"I would text people, and I'm blackout, have no idea what I'm texting people, on like an Ambien," he admitted.
Pratt recounted a conversation with Bautista in which the former wrestler laughed when Pratt didn't remember what he had said the previous night, prompting him to look it up on his phone.
He said: "It was like: 'Dave, I want to wrestle you. I want to wrestle you. No one needs to know, but I just want to know. I think I could take you. I think I could wrestle you, bro. Like collegiate rules — no elbows, no knees. I just want to feel the power.'"
Pratt said he was "mortified" when he found out he had texted Bautista with a challenge, adding: "Dave would kill me. He is by far the toughest dude in all of Hollywood."
Bautista was a six-time world champion during his career with WWE and also won his only mixed martial arts fight in 2012.
He recalled the conversation with Pratt on Twitter, saying: "I’ll never forget the look of confusion when I asked him about the texts."

Pratt and Bautista have appeared together in both Guardians of the Galaxy movies and two Avengers films as Star-Lord and Drax, respectively.
They are both set to reprise their roles in the upcoming third entry in the trilogy, which will see James Gunn return to the Marvel fold after he was previously fired — subsequently making The Suicide Squad for DC.
In The Tomorrow War, Pratt is a present day military man turned scientist who is conscripted into a time-travelling army sent into the future to defend the human race against horrifying aliens.
Bautista, meanwhile, is currently in Greece shooting the sequel to whodunnit Knives Out.
