Here's what some of the critics have been saying:
Empire
"There’s slightly more than meets the eye with Transformers One. While the art style is sometimes off-putting, its ideas are interesting enough to make it a decent addition to the franchise."
Variety
"While still delivering the fun and excitement expected of Hasbro’s metamorphosizing robots, Transformers One approaches the well-known characters with a degree of nuance and complexity that marks the most sophisticated onscreen portrait of them to date."
The Hollywood Reporter
"Besides the raucous, de rigueur action sequences, Transformers One provides numerous witty jokes of both the verbal and visual variety and - surprise, surprise - genuine emotion. Consider this a franchise revitalized."

Deadline
"Transformers One returns to the property’s purely animated roots. Yet, the story has more humanity than the films that co-star human actors, and ultimately makes you feel the operatic tragedy of Megatron."
Collider
"It's a fun, action-packed outing with surprisingly effective emotional resonance, adding layers to existing Transformers lore while being a worthwhile story in its own right."
Screen Rant
"There’s a lot to love here — from the character dynamics to the thrilling action and gorgeous animation. It makes for an exciting origin story."
Transformers One will be released in cinemas on October 11.
