Yahoo Movies Chris Hemsworth lands next lead movie role
Chris Hemsworth's next lead movie role has been announced as he joins an upcoming Apple Original Films project.
The Thor actor will star in The Corsair Code after the company won the film at auction, Deadline reports. It is based on a short story by Jonathan Tropper, who also wrote The Adam Project.
It will be produced by Ben Grayson alongside Hemsworth through their company Wild State, with Tropper writing the screenplay. Plot details are being kept tightly guarded, but it has been described as a "high-octane, sci-fi mystery adventure".

Wild State is currently in production with National Geographic's Limitless for a second season, also starring Hemsworth.
The second season will see the Extraction actor "delve into a series of physical and mental obstacles that people across the world face daily: mental agility, pain, burnout, and interpersonal connection", according to Disney+.
Speaking about the show, Hemsworth said: "Working on Limitless was an eye-opening experience that allowed me to reflect on my strengths, vulnerabilities and all the ways in which we as humans can plan toward longevity.
"For this next season, we are attempting to raise the bar and go even deeper in this exploration alongside health and wellness experts from around the globe."
The actor most recently starred in Mad Max prequel Furiosa as warlord Dementus alongside Anya Taylor-Joy as the titular hero. The prequel tells the story of Furiosa's childhood and early life before the events of 2015's Mad Max: Fury Road.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Hemsworth explained how Taylor-Joy brought her unique take to the iconic character: "She turned up in the mindset and headspace and the enthusiasm and passion to craft something that wasn't a kind of mimic, but was her own take on the character.
"The two characters are in both very different points of their life and very different parts. One is mythologised and one is in the building of it.
"Anya was just incredible. I don't think there are many people on the planet that can tell that amount of story with that amount of depth and nuance with the subtlety and a look."
