Chris Harrison Responds to Claims Producers “Forced” Clare Crawley off ‘The Bachelorette’

From Cosmopolitan

Depending on your personal level of Obsessed Bachelor Fan™ (I am at a solid 15/10), you might be aware of a new ~conspiracy~ floating around Bachelor Nation. Basically, Clare Crawley is out here Liking tweets that imply she was forced off The Bachelorette by producers who always intended to recast her with Tayshia Adams. And now Chris Harrison is out here responding.

Just a quick reminder, Clare reportedly Liked a tweet that said this:

“I think they were trying to force her out on some real. It was reported that she quit 12 days after filming and she locked herself in her room and wouldn’t come out, which was hard to believe considering how bad she wanted it. And I really feel like they are giving her a bad edit (just my opinion). They are feeding into the narrative and the rumors and making it seem like it was Clare’s decision that this ended and I feel like that’s not the case.”

Which brings us to Chris, who seemingly denied Clare’s claims to Entertainment Tonight:

“I would just say she has complete control. This season of ‘The Bachelorette’ was completely about Clare. It’s all about Clare, and she will decide where we go from here. It’s totally, completely up to her.”

Oh, and um, he also told ET that he fully hasn’t spoken to Clare “for a few weeks,” which seems a little odd considering her season is currently airing on ABC and she’s calling out producers via her Twitter Likes. But okay!
