Chris Boucher has no idea why Pascal Siakam was so heavily criticized by several fans and media personalities. In his eyes, the potential 2022 All-NBA player hasn't been treated fairly. Listen to the full episode on the 'Hustle Play' podcast feed or watch on our Yahoo Sports Canada YouTube.
MIKE ROACH: Pascal Siakam.
CHRIS BOUCHER: I think Pascal is-- Pascal is like the-- Pascal is crazy, because I've seen Pascal literally go from the enemy to a superhero in a year. In a year. It's amazing how he did that. He literally went from, you suck, go back to wherever you went from, you can't play, this and that. And he came back and look what he was doing.
MIKE ROACH: Did he really suck that much though? That's kind of the fan's thing.
CHRIS BOUCHER: What changed? What changed though? What did you guys really see that changed besides him literally being here in his head now and having a better IQ.
MIKE ROACH: There's not-- nothing much changed really.
CHRIS BOUCHER: Pascal has doing the same thing-- he's been doing the same thing for the last two years.
MIKE ROACH: Yeah.
CHRIS BOUCHER: It's just that he had a bad slump where he wasn't playing well, that's it. Pascal could have did that for the next year. Let's say Pascal didn't have a bad year, are we talking like that about Pascal?
MIKE ROACH: No, absolutely not.
CHRIS BOUCHER: At all.
MIKE ROACH: Absolutely not.
CHRIS BOUCHER: That's what people don't understand. And you sit here and you watch it and you're like, OK, well you know what, the same way I was laughing about the spin move they used to do-- when he was doing it this season and he dropped forty, how much time do we--
That's how it is, man. That's just how it is.
