"When your daughter says she wants to be a #StarbucksCoffeeCup for Halloween, you make her a costume!" said the mom and DIY'er behind the Instagram blog Creative Art Table (@creativearttable). “This has got to be the easiest and quickest costume I’ve made so far,” she reported in her post, and it won a homemade contest too! Here's how she got the look.
DIY Starbucks Cup Costume for Tweens
We adapted these instructions from the Instagram Highlights shared on @creativearttable’s profile.
Use a sticky green glitter foam sheet to make a giant straw; attach to a headband.
Cover headband with a section of white feather boa using hot glue.
Cut out a few circles of white felt. Fold and roll each circle into a bunch to resemble a swirl of whipped cream. Hot-glue to headband.
Print out a large Starbucks logo and hot-glue to a foam sheet. Cut out logo. Hot-glue it to the front of a tan leotard.
Using thread or hot glue, adorn the neckline of the leotard with another section of boa and white felt bunches.
Add a white petticoat or tutu, tan tights, and Starbucks bag for trick-or-treating. To finish the look, this mom lent her daughter her coffee cup earrings from Claire's.
