Here is what Chiefs fans were saying about KC’s 41-31 victory over the Buccaneers
Now, that’s how a team puts a terrible defeat behind it.
One week after doing a little bit of everything wrong in a loss to the Colts, the Chiefs looked great in all three phases (offense, defense, special teams) on “Sunday Night Football.”
The Chiefs thumped the Buccaneers 41-31 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, as Patrick Mahomes threw three touchdown passes, the rushing attack gained more than 150 yards and the defense held the Buccaneers to 3 yards on the ground.
Special teams forced a fumble on the opening kickoff and made two field goals.
And the offensive line obviously heard what the Buccaneers’ Shaquil Barrett said about the Chiefs offensive line as the unit was sensational.
“There was some chatter that they (the Chiefs’ O-line) wouldn’t be up to the challenge ... well, they were up to the challenge,” Mahomes told NBC after the game.
All in all, it was a good night for the Chiefs, and fans were happy. Here is a sample of what they were saying on social media.
Lets get one thing straight; it’s Patrick Mahomes, & then every other young QB in the league. #ChiefsKingdom #Showtime. #OneAndOnly.

Really encouraged by this game from the Chiefs. Maybe a little more from the secondary is needed but this was a much better team & effort this week. Now to carry it forward to next week. #ChiefsKingdom

A fan on Reddit wrote: “We are still the best team in the NFL.”
Another joked: “I like the potential of this P. Mahomes kid.”
I would like to see more Pacheco and less CEH to be honest. #Chiefs https://t.co/blATTdNURV

#Chiefs O-Line is elite if they play to their potential like they did tonight. Outstanding effort.

Nice win tonight! What an outstanding game performance by the whole #Chiefs team. The defense came up huge when it needed to, the running game from Pachenco and CEH was something to behold, and #Mahomes and #Kelce are the best duo in the @NFL#ChiefsKingdom #SuperBowlHereWeCome
