Channel 5 Weathergirl Goes Pun-Tastic Over Ghostbusters

Well played, Sian Welby. Well played indeed.

The Channel 5 weather presenter managed to stuff an inordinate number of ‘Ghostbusters’ puns into this recent report.

- Ray Liotta regrets turning down Batman audition
- Lena Dunham backs calls to deface gun-heavy Bourne ads
- Scene added to new Ghostbusters to mock haters

“Slime afraid you’ll need you 'Parker’, this afternoon, with scattered showers expected, in between the odd 'Ray’ of sunshine,” she began, stuffing three into her very first sentence.

Continuing with talk of clouds 'staying puft’ and advising we 'don’t cross streams or rivers, unless it’s safe to do so’, it’s a cavalcade of punnery.

But she has form in this area.

Welby has also gone pun-wild for both the releases of 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ and 'Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice’.

The new ‘Ghostbusters’ movie, helmed by Paul Feig (he even gets a mention in the bulletin), and starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones, is out now across the UK.
