Not all award show menus are created equal. Need proof? The Critics' Choice Awards served guests "pizza in a bag" (yes, really) while the Golden Globes had a pricey selection of sushi from the luxe celeb-loved Japanese restaurant Nobu.

The cast of The Color Purple went viral after Oprah, Fantasia Barrino, Taraji P. Henson, and Danielle Brooks looked less than enthused over the individually wrapped slices of 'za served during the show. In fact, Winfrey's jaw was practically on the ground.

Case in point:

Per Page Six, Oprah told cameras, "I'm not messing up my lips." Barrino joked, "Where are the lamb chops?" Film director Jen D'Angelo said what everyone else seemed to be thinking: "Absolutely revolting 3D printed ass pizza," she wrote alongside a photo of the bagged flatbread.

When it came time for Paul Giamatti to take the stage, the Holdovers star mocked the controversial menu. "Wow, guys, I didn’t think my week could get any better than going viral for eating a cheeseburger," Giamatti told the crowd."Serious guys, I need that endorsement. So let’s all just pray for me. Everybody get their pizza in a bag, by the way? I think that’d be a good endorsement. Paul Giamatti for pizza in a bag."

The internet had plenty to say on the subject, too. "You convince Oprah to attend your awards show... and you serve her pizza in a bag," one user wrote, while another chimed in, "imagine being the person who has to hand OPRAH a slice of pizza in a bag."

"And who feeds OPRAH WINFREY pizza in a bag. Shame SHAME. SHAME," a third person wrote on Twitter.

Not only was the cast of The Color Purple clearly less than thrilled over the catering (which also included individual charcuterie boxes), but it was an overall disappointing evening. The film was nominated for best picture, best acting ensemble, best costume design, and best hair and makeup, the movie did not take home any Critics' Choice Awards on Sunday. Here's hoping for better luck (and dinner) at the Oscars, huh?
