June 24, 2022 will forever be remembered as the day the US Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade — dismantling 50 years of nationwide abortion rights and a women's right to choose. Today, celebrity hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimons is taking a stand.

Starting on Oct. 3, Fitzsimons is teaming up with Propeller, an easy-to-use online platform for activism, to create the online The Beauty Industry Auction, with all proceeds benefitting Planned Parenthood.

Merch includes everything from one-of-a-kind items to masterclasses — including a CTZN Cosmetics Experience with makeup artist Sir John and a Canopy Beauty and Wellness Bundle. Each item will go to the highest bidder.

“I believe everyone should have access to the medical care they need without restrictions, and so I wanted to create an initiative that would support this fight in a way that went far beyond what I could do as a single individual,” Fitzsimons explained in a statement. “When working together, the power of the beauty industry can be so impactful, and at this moment, we desperately need to come together to help protect people who can become pregnant.”

To make the beneficial auction come to life, Fitzsimons partnered with Shay Mitchell and BEIS, Khloé Kardashian and Good American, Halsey and About Face Beauty, Kesha and Kesha Rose Beauty, Sir John and CTZN Cosmetics, Nudestix and Glamzilla, Kinship, Exa, Caliray, Tower28, and Canopy.

“Those of us with platforms have a responsibility to advocate for those who need it most, and right now in the face of this legislation, that includes reproductive rights. We stand with our industry peers against policies that limit people’s independence and their ability to make their own personal health decisions” Fitzsimons shared.

The Beauty Industry Auction is open to the public, and will close on Oct 10. For more information or to make your own bid visit propeller.la.
