Celebrate National Margarita Day With Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock in 'Practical Magic'

Feb. 22 is officially National Margarita Day in America, a perfect excuse to blend yourself a frosty beverage later today. It’s also an excellent reason to revisit the 1998 witchcraft romance Practical Magic starring Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock, Dianne Wiest, and Stockard Channing as a comely coven of witches who spend the movie hiding their special powers from small-townsfolk, dodging murder charges, and fighting the undead evil spirit of a terrible boyfriend. They also partake in one of the big screen’s most delightful magical midnight margarita-blending scenes, which you can watch above.

Fans of the movie will know that the boozy fun is short-lived: The tequila the women use — along with the “eye of newt, toe of frog, wool of bat, tongue of dog” — is actually kind of haunted. (Spoiler alert?) But then again, margaritas are pretty dangerous even when they’re not conjured up by witches.
