Carpet Python Discovered Living Under Riverfront Deck

A local snake catcher was called to a residence in Noosa Waters, Queensland, after a large carpet python was discovered living beneath a deck fronting onto the Noosa River.

Catcher Luke Huntley ended up make two callouts. The first was in vain as the snake had returned to its hideout beneath the deck.

However, Huntley returned the following day after the python came out to lie in the sun.

In a post alongside footage of the capture, Huntley said, “Demolition is good fun but if the deck could stay in one piece that would be even better.”

“So we waited and it came back out the next morning,” he added. Credit: Luke Huntley via Storyful
