Canada Post issues apology for severed head stamps

Canada's postal service is apologizing for printing sheets of stamps showing the severed head statue of John A. Macdonald. The institution offers the public the chance to upload images they want on custom stamps, but the checks and balances weren't followed when a Library and Archives Canada employee, James Bone, published the severed head. Bone posted the image of the stamps on Twitter and offered to send them for free to anyone who had been chagrined by Macdonald's history. When he went to reorder the stamps, Canada Post was able to put a stop on his request. Bone says he meant well, and hopes no one lost their job over the incident. Video by Shibani Gokhale
