Campers Struggle in High Winds as Violent Storm Leads to Cancellation of French Festival

Storms brought violent winds to eastern France on Thursday, June 30, and prompted the cancellation of the first day of Eurockéennes de Belfort, one of France’s largest rock music festivals.

Meteo France, the country’s weather service, issued an orange alert for 11 departments that day as violent storms bringing hail, strong winds and heavy rain were forecast.
