The California Storm is expanding into the United Soccer League with a semi-professional women’s team and plans to compete for the 2023 season in a newly created NorCal Division, the Sacramento soccer club and USL W announced on Thursday. The California Storm is one of six clubs to expand into the USL W league for the NorCal Division. Stockton made history months ago by becoming the first team to announce it was fielding a team for the league.
