Bryan Cranston & Jeff Goldblum Sign Up For Wes Anderson Animation

After being just a little bit wowed by Wes Anderson’s ‘Fantastic Mr. Fox’ in 2009, he’s not only got plans for a new stop-motion animation, but it’ll star Bryan Cranston and Jeff Goldblum.

Suffice to say we’re all very excited, naturally, but the news was somewhat casually revealed by Goldblum himself, and not in any official capacity.

According to Nerdist, during one of the icon’s weekly jazz shows, the ‘Jurassic Park’ star took some audience questions, whereby he spilled the beans on the upcoming project.

Apparently Goldblum shared how he’d be starring in Anderson’s next film - a stop-motion venture centering on a a pack of dogs.

Furthermore, he said he’d be starring alongside Bob Balaban, Edward Norton, and Bryan Cranston. He also said it’ll be “Japanese-inspired”, but didn’t give anything else away.

It was only recently reported that the above actors had been seen dining together along with Anderson and regular collaborator Bill Murray.

The ‘Grand Budapest Hotel’ director had previously expressed his desire to focus on live-action movies rather than animation, as it’s far less restricting when capturing accidental magic and spontaneity.

“With an animated film, you can’t predict accidents and surprises,” he said almost six years ago.

Yet it appears the acclaimed filmmaker has since had a change of heart, and we’re very grateful indeed.
