Coronation Street's Brooke Vincent is trying to clear up any uncertainty over her losing the Dancing on Ice 2018 finale to rival Jake Quickenden.

The Sophie Webster actress finished in second place in the ITV competition's final earlier in the month. During that finale, Brooke offered a tongue-in-cheek joke when questioned by Phillip Schofield about not bringing home the win.

"First the worst, second the best! Well done to Jake and Vanessa. Are you sure it's not a fix?" she quipped to Phillip, leading to some speculation from viewers about the legitimacy of the final result.

Brooke tries to set the record straight in the latest issue of OK! Magazine, insisting that her 'fix claims' were merely a joke meant to tease her good friend Jake Quickenden.

"I'm a very sarcastic person and I like to have a laugh – I was messing around," she clarified. "Jake is very similar to me so he totally understood that it was a joke. He was the better skater, there's no way I deserved to win over him."

What Brooke is slightly upset about is that she'll have to miss the Dancing on Ice live tour because of her busy schedule on Coronation Street.

"It would have been amazing but logistically it wasn't possible while I'm working full-time at Corrie," she acknowledged. "Having spent so much time away from Kean and my family, I feel very ready to be settled again."
